Japanese learners को सबसे पहले जो confuse करता है वो है addressing system। सब 田中さん क्यों बोलते हैं, सिर्फ 田中 नहीं? कुछ लोगों को ちゃん क्यों मिलता है और कुछ को くん? ये guide सब explain करती है।
Golden Rule: First Name मत बोलो
Hindi में first name use करना normal है। Japan में, नहीं। First name सिर्फ: close family, बहुत करीबी दोस्तों, बच्चों के लिए, और जब कोई specifically permission दे।
Default हमेशा last name + title है। 山田さん (Yamada-san), ユキ नहीं।
Main Titles
さん (san) - Standard
'Mr./Ms.' जैसा लेकिन बिना gender distinction के। सबसे safe choice। Colleagues, acquaintances, strangers के लिए - जब sure नहीं हो।
ちゃん (chan) - Cute/Intimate
बच्चों, young girls, close friends, pets के लिए। Cuteness और intimacy का feel देता है। Boss या elders के लिए कभी नहीं!
くん (kun) - For Boys/Juniors
Usually boys और young men के लिए। Bosses कभी-कभी young male employees के लिए use करते हैं। さん से कम formal।
様 (sama) - Very Respectful
Customers (お客様), gods, या बहुत respectful होना हो तब। Formal emails में भी use होता है।
先輩 (senpai) और 後輩 (kōhai)
Senpai उनके लिए जो तुमसे पहले किसी environment में थे (school, company)। Kōhai उल्टा। बिना name के directly 'Senpai' बोल सकते हो।
先生 (sensei)
Teachers, doctors, lawyers, और किसी भी expert जिनसे सीख रहे हो। Famous writers को भी sensei कहते हैं।
Personal Pronouns
Japanese में pronouns Hindi से कम use होते हैं। जब clear है किसके बारे में बात हो रही है, pronoun हटा दिया जाता है।
I (मैं)
- 私 (watashi): Standard, polite, सब use कर सकते हैं
- 僕 (boku): Masculine, informal, friendly
- 俺 (ore): Masculine, बहुत informal, friends के बीच
- あたし (atashi): Feminine, informal
You (तुम)
- あなた (anata): Polite लेकिन distant। Better to use name + san
- 君 (kimi): Informal, juniors के लिए
- お前 (omae): बहुत informal, rude हो सकता है
Important note: 'You' की जगह सामने वाले का name बोलो। 'क्या आप coffee लेंगे?' becomes '田中さんはコーヒーいりますか？'
Common Mistakes
- खुद के लिए san मत लगाओ: ✗ '私は田中さんです' ✓ '私は田中です'
- ज़्यादा anata मत बोलो: Direct name बोलो
- ore formal setting में मत बोलो: सिर्फ close friends के साथ
- Elders के लिए chan मत बोलो: Disrespectful है
Conclusion
Japanese addressing system पहले complex लगता है, लेकिन simple rule है: doubt हो तो last name + さん use करो। जब relationship closer हो जाए, वो खुद बता देंगे कैसे address करना है।
